LMCCC LEADERSHIP

Mark Levy, Ph.D.
Executive Director
I joined LMCCC as an Intern. As Clinical Supervisor, I am passionate about mentoring our team of gifted clinicians and creating programming to support our local community in English and Spanish. I also maintain a private practice in Larchmont. My background includes a BS with honors in Psychology and MSW, both from NYU, and a clinical internship at Weill Cornell Medicine. Although I wanted to be a therapist since I was in high school, I took a detour and had a rewarding career in human resources. The decision to change careers and follow my heart was the best decision I have ever made.

Alan Dienstag, Psy.D.
Clinical Director &
Parent Center Co-founder
Dr. Alan Dienstag is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Larchmont and the Clinical Director of the Larchmont Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center (LMCCC). Dr. Dienstag received his doctoral degree from Yeshiva University and did his clinical internship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital/ New York State Psychiatric Institute. He supervises and oversees all clinical work at the LMCCC and is the co-founder of the Parent Center at the LMCCC, a service that supports parents with an array of services including curriculum based training and frequent presentations for local parents throughout the community. He is very proud to be associated with this one-of-a-kind, vibrant center and its commitment to access, training and community.
I obtained my Ph.D. from George Mason University in 1996. After completing my internship and post doctoral fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, I was hired to be the head psychologist on the Adolescent Inpatient unit. After taking a few years off to raise my family, I returned to counseling at the LMCCC. Together with Alan Dienstag I cofounded the Parent Center, a division of LMCCC dedicated to supporting and educating parents including the Parent Circle, an 8-week parent skills group that has been supporting and educating local parents for the last 10 years. When I am not at the counseling center or in my private practice I like to hike with my badly behaved dog, ski, play bridge and eat long dinners with friends.

TEAM HEADS
I joined the center in 2009 as a graduate intern and have been here ever since. I graduated from Boston College with a BA in psychology and Fordham University with an MSW. My post graduate training includes dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Over time my role at the counseling center has expanded from individual and family counseling to overseeing and developing curriculum for our school-based programs, and more recently supervising our graduate interns. In my spare time I love to read, watch baseball (a LOT) and spend as much time as possible at the beach.

COUNSELING STAFF
I have a masters in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Columbia and an MSW from Fordham. I also attended the Center for Modern Psychoanalysis. I worked for 10 years at North Shore University Hospital in their Vocational Rehabilitation program where I did individual counseling, coordinated the group therapy program and supervised interns. I had a private practice, worked for VESID and came to the Larchmont -Mamaroneck Community Counseling Center as a social work intern in 1999. This is where I found a community I knew would be my permanent home. The level of expertise, caring for each other and the quality of the supervision were beyond anything I encountered before. Each staff member is respected and encouraged to be the best version of themselves.
I am passionate about daylillies and dancing!

LMCCC Partners in the Community

We work closely with The Mamaroneck School District, which consists of Murray, Chatsworth, Mamaroneck Avenue, and Central Elementary schools, Hommocks Middle School, and Mamaroneck High School. Students come from the Village of Larchmont, the Village of Mamaroneck and the Town of Mamaroneck. The district is both ethnically and economically diverse and has grown by about 16% in the past ten years to a total enrollment of approximately 5,300 students.

Explore our In-School Programs page for more information about the on-site services we offer at Hommocks.

The Community Resource Center (formerly Hispanic Resource Center) was founded in 1998 to promote the cultural, economic, educational and professional integration of immigrants to the already established larger community and to advocate for those in need. They aim to provide the tools to prepare new immigrant families to become self-sufficient and active members of the community.

Our Spanish-speaking La Casa service frequently collaborates with the CRC on programs that benefit both communities.

LMCCC has established LM Connects to provide a forum to bring community shareholders to the table. It is our hope that together we can address shared concerns of our neighbors in a cooperative and dynamic environment that is able to draw upon the many resources and expertise of our community to best address issues that affect the wellbeing of our families.
