INTRODUCING

GARDEN & GROW
Join high school friends and make new ones while cultivating a garden program from the ground up with the supportive team at LMCCC. Connect with others and nature while growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers that may be used to inspire celebrations around recipes & food, flower arranging, or entrepreneurship as you enjoy and share the ‘fruits’ of your effort.
Parents: Research shows that youth gardens provide a hands-on setting to learn skills that promote responsibility, patience, pride, self-confidence, curiosity, critical thinking as well as developing an awareness of the larger world outside of self.
If your child would benefit from time outdoors this summer cultivating friendships and connection through gardening with other teens, please reach out to Amy Pace at amy@communitycounselingcenter.org for more information. This program is in the concept phase, with the wonderful opportunity to be student directed and led.
