In April 2026, we heard from Dr. Stephen Dewey about the neurological effects of addictive substances and behaviors—including nicotine, alcohol, marijuana, online gaming (fortnite, roblox), and gambling — on the adolescent brain. The program empowered parents and students with the knowledge and confidence to guide decision making.

In October 2025, LM Connects sponsored the presentation: What Teens are REALLY saying - the latest results of our drug and alcohol survey. In front of a full house of parents, district administrators, and Board of Ed members, we heard directly from survey expert Dan Webb, who shared with us his insights on the trends our teens are facing concerning alcohol and drug use in our community.
