The CCC is frequently developing new groups throughout the year. If you have questions or would like more information about a particular group, please email or call us.  All groups are held at the Community Counseling Center.

The CIRCLE: Therapeutic Group for Adolescent Girls: Led by Christine Danberg, LCSW and Christina Grimes, LMSW, the purpose of this group is to help adolescent girls who are struggling with poor self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, and intense feelings. The group will focus on teaching effective and healthy coping strategies that will positively impact self-esteem. Topics will include family and friendship issues, substance use, and body image. Participants of the group will gain a sense of how a better understanding of our own feelings can lead to increased self-esteem, a healthy self and healthier relationships.  We are currently enrolling girls for our Winter 2014 Group.  Please contact Christine or Christina for more information.

Mindful Parenting: For Parents of Middle School Children: Katie Sawyer, PhD., in partnership with 2bpresent will offer mindful parenting workshops that will combine elements of mindfulness and meditation practice with parenting techniques and skills.

Support Group for Divorced and Separated Parents: Separation and divorce are a source of difficulty for many families in our community.  Led by Jessica Dorzek, LMSW and Robin Linder, LMSW, this is a weekly support group on Tuesday evenings for parents going through this experience.  Enrollment is currently open for Winter 2014.
